Abstract
Background and aims – This study is a part of an ongoing survey of Perenniporia (Basidiomycota, Polyporales) in the Neotropics. Methods – Material is examined and described using morphology-based methods. Key resultsPerenniporia subovoidea is proposed as new. New records of little known species are presented. A key to the Perenniporia species with resupinate basidiome is also presented. ConclusionPerenniporia subovoidea is reported from Costa Rica. New records of P. aurantiaca, P. chromatica, P. parvispora, P. roseo-isabellina, and P. xantha are presented. All these species are endemic to the Neotropical areas.
