AbstractBackground and aims – This second precursor to the Acanthaceae treatment in the Flore d'Afrique Centrale deals with the genus Justicia . Methods – The material of BR, BRLU, BM and K was examined. Flowers were boiled in water and dissected under a Wild M5 lens. Other parts of the plants were measured on dry material. Pollen of several species was critical point-dried and studied under a SEM JEOL 5800LV. Results – Eleven new species are recognized; illustrations and distribution maps are provided. One overlooked species is discussed. The pollen of five species was investigated to allow their placement in the classification of Graham.
